We are excited to announce the expansion of our High School programming! This will be the first year that we offer box lacrosse and fall/winter high school programming and we can't wait to get started! It is our goal to provide top level off season training for high school players in Colorado and help them take their game to the next level. Fall/Winter programming is designed to prepare players for their high school spring season as well as to begin to assemble advanced Select teams for the summer of 2018. Our high school programs are gaining momentum, and we have a lot of progressive ideas & programs in the works that we believe will begin to separate us from our competition. Our Skill Stratification System (S3) incorporates block and random practice drills that maximize skills and  mimics game situations- this leads to greater athleticism, confidence, and a more profound understanding of the game.

This fall/winter will be separated into 2 components

  1. S3 Box training & scrimmage sessions/Summer tryout prep

Box lacrosse is one of the best ways for players to take their game to the next level. Box teaches players how to initiate and attack contact, improve defensive positioning and footwork, enhance stick skills, learn 2 man game principles, and learn how to get to and protect the middle of the field. Additionally, box maximizes touches in a small area while improving reaction time and decision making skills.

Description:

-10, 2 hour sessions of box training and scrimmaging

-Players from surrounding high schools

-Guest appearances from Mammoth and other NLL players

-Players will learn to apply box skills and principles to field lacrosse

-All players will sit down with our coaches and set goals for their spring high school and summer select teams.

-At the end of the first 5 sessions, players will receive a list of areas to improve on over winter break.

-Players will receive a more detailed skill evaluation at the last session highlighting strengths, areas of improvement, and our assessment of the best way for them to achieve the goals they set at the beginning of the program.
