CYLA

Rattlers Spring Lacrosse 2020 Tentative Programming

Now that fall lacrosse is over, we wanted to fill everyone in on our preliminary spring 2020 information and some changes to our usual tryout/evaluation format. Please note that all information is subject to change, and this is information is only preliminary.

We are expecting HUGE numbers for spring. After our biggest fall ever for both girls and boys programming, we are energized for another great spring season. As many of you know, spring is the regular season of lacrosse, and involves the highest amount of commitment and training. The Rattlers offer teams for players of ALL skill and experience levels. We have a mixed group of beginner, intermediate, and advanced teams, and all of our coaches are personally trained in the S3 curriculum.  Please review the boys and girls tentative information for the spring, and reach out with any questions.

Beginner? We have beginner teams in every age group!

Our Spring Mission: Developing our girls and boys into great lacrosse players and even better people through lacrosse, volunteer projects, character development and team building!

Character. Commitment. FAMILY.

Youth Boys

Registration: Spring registration will open on December 2nd. Players must register to be eligible for tryouts in February.

Tryouts: Youth boys tryouts for u7-u15 (1st-8th grade) will be February 2nd & 9th at Carroll Butts Indoor Facility (times released with registration). ALL PLAYERS MAKE A TEAM, and tryouts are designed to group players by skill and experience. Players who cannot make tryouts will still be placed on a team, but will not have the opportunity to be placed on an advanced team. We will no longer have tryouts in November to simplify the process.

Teams: Teams will be placed in divisions based on the skill of the team as a whole. Pricing varies based on age and level. U9 and younger  players will play less than U10 and older players.

U9 & Below Spring Dues: $225

U10+ Spring dues: $295

Select Teams: Additionally, we will offer a Select team for the U11, U12, U13, & U15 division. Select teams are the most skilled teams for each division and will be $100 more expensive than regular registration. The additional charge is for entry into a tournament during the spring season. Potential options for these tournaments are the Vail Lax Jam (mid May) and the Rocky Mountain Jamboree (June 6th-7th). The decision on which tournament will be made closer to the season.

Select Dues: $395

Season Timeline: Practices start in early March, games start in early April, and the end of the season tournament is the first weekend in June.

Practices: U7, U8, & U9 teams practice twice a week and U10, U11, U12, U13, U15 teams practice three days a week. All practices are in Broomfield locations.

Uniforms: We are entering a new cycle for uniforms and all players will need to purchase a new one. We generally will use the same uniform design for two years, and players will not need to purchase a new one each season. Uniforms include shorts, shooter shirt, and jersey for $80.

Youth Girls

Registration: Spring registration will open on December 1st. Players must register to be eligible to come to the first practice.

We anticipate anywhere from 5-7 teams in 2020. The girls program is growing rapidly and it is an exciting time for women's lacrosse. The first week of Match/practice will serve as evaluation days for the program. This week will be a great way for coaches to evaluate each player so we can place them on the appropriate team!

1st-5th Grade: $225

6th-8th grade: $295

Practices: All 1st-5th grade teams will practice twice a week and all 6th*, 7th, & 8th grade teams will practice three days a week (*pending the number of 6th graders signed up, they may practice 2 days a week).

1st-5th Grade: $225

6th-8th grade: $295

Practices: All 1st-5th grade teams will practice twice a week and all 6th, & 7th grade teams will practice three days a week.

All Teams

*All teams will work on a volunteer project throughout the course of the season

*We will host numerous events for players and family members to meet!

*All U13+ players will write letters to younger players and work with a younger player/team

*We offer scholarships and financial aid to families who qualify. Finances should never be a reason why a player cannot play.
